Jay Denny

Jay began his career as a trainee with Stoke City after being spotted at thirteen years of age. Jay appeared on Stoke Citys first team bench on eight occasions. He spent a total of six years with Stoke City. In them six years Jay made various appearances for the United States U-17s and U-20s national teams, captaining the U-20 squad on two occasions.

Jay then signed for Shrewsbury Town on a free transfer and the highlight of his time there was scoring two goals in the Carling Cup defeat of Brighton and Hove Albion, an equalizer in the eighty-ninth minute and the winner in extra time, sending Shrewsbury into the third round of the competition for the first time in many years.

Moving into part time football Jay has played for various clubs such as Nuneaton Borough, Halesowen Town and currently Hednesford Town. Jay has pursued a career in sports development completing his coaching badges and is also a qualified Personal Training & Sports Massage Therapist.
